It's Official! Clear Channel/Harrisburg OM JT Bosch has named Interim PD/afternoon host Mike Miller as Program Director of Top 40 WHKF (99.3 KISS FM).
"Mike has been the interim PD for some time now, and today it becomes official." Bosch tells FMQB. "Apparently there was an issue with a reserved parking spot, so he wouldn't sign his contract until we got that sorted out. Mike was one of the first air talents on WHKF when it came on the air in 2001, and was a huge part of the building of this brand in Harrisburg. I couldn't be happier to have him lead WHKF into 2012!";
"It's crazy to think that in July 2001 (10 years ago!!) I helped launch this station with Jason Barsky!," says Miller. "After a two year stint in Portland at KKRZ in 2005, I came back to do mornings once Jason left and now I'm the PD!! I've learned a ton from some of the best programmers in the industry and I'm ready to help take Kiss FM to a new level in Harrisburg. Thanks to Brian Bridgman, Tim Herbster, Mike McCoy, Jason Barsky and JT for all the advice and helping me get to this point in my career. Also thank you to Dan Lankford and JT Bosch for giving me this opportunity!"
will.i.am debuted his new solo single, "T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)" featuring Jennifer Lopez, on the American Music Awards last night. The other guest on the song - Mick Jagger - was not present at the performance, and Will says he is still surprised that he got Jagger on the track in the first place. "I went to play material for the label and [Interscope Chairman] Jimmy Iovine's like, 'Yo, this is dope. Who are you gonna put on it?'," Will told Rolling Stone. "I’m like, 'What are you talking about? It’s finished, it’s me.' So, he’s like, 'Oh, you don’t feature no one?' You play your music and the first thing someone says, 'Who’s gonna be on it?' So I think of the hardest thing ever, and it happened: Mick Jagger. I just wanted to throw something out there that I thought could never be possible so they would stop asking me." The Black Eyed Peas founder's new solo album, #willpower

frontman Pat Monahan tells Rolling Stone the band's next album is almost finished and should be out in April. He revealed the lead single will be "Drive-By," which should land at radio at the beginning of January, right around the time the band performs at the Orange Bowl. Monahan is also branching out into acting, filming a role on TBS series The Wedding Band, with an appearance lined up for Hawaii Five-O
Nicole Scherzinger's first solo album has been pushed back yet again. Killer Love, which initially had a release date of November 15 and then was moved to December, will now be coming out in 2012, according to the Hollywood Reporter. While Killer Love did come out in the U.K., it looks like Scherzinger is still tinkering with the U.S. version, which features an alternate track-listing and production by RedOne, Jim Jonsin, The-Dream, Harvey Mason, Jr. (with R. Kelly) and Tricky Stewart. Featured guests reportedly include 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg and Sting. "I'm doing the best music I can for my fans," the Pussycat Dolls singer-turned-X Factor judge told THR. "Music that they can relate to, that they can be inspired by, that they'll fall in love with, that will ignite them... When I'm not at X Factor, I'm at the studio at night. I feel amazing about [the album]
Avril Lavigne has signed with Epic Records, reuniting her with label chairman and X Factor judge L.A. Reid, who originally signed the singer to Arista Records in 2000. "I am now on Epic Records and finally working with LA Reid again (he signed me when I was 15)," Lavigne posted on her Facebook wall. "Re-inspired."

KTFM/San Antonio APD/MD Stick welcomed Lupe Fiasco to the station.
WIHT/Washington, D.C. welcomed Chris Brown to the station.
